Mariogasm Modded Wii Consoles

Overview

Your Mariogasm Modded Wii Console has been restored and refurbished with all working ports, drives, Wi Fi, covers, and appearance wise these consoles are all in Good or better condition. Your modded Wii console will function just like an ordinary Wii however you will have full access to the game collection that comes with your Wii which is all organized in a neat app called Wii Flow which you access as a channel button from the Wii Home Screen.

Set Up

Your Modded Wii Console hooks up the same as any other console. Plug it in, hook it up to your TV, plug in and place the sensor bar. Additionally, if you purchased a console with a Wii Hard Drive included you will plug your Wii HDD into the bottom USB port of your Mariogasm Modded Wii Console. The Wii SD card is already installed in the Wii SD Card slot. Also, we have already synced your Wii remote for you while testing your console before shipping.

First Power Up

Power on your console and press the A button on the remote to take you to the Wii Home Screen. We do a simple Home Menu for you with only the necessary channel buttons. Click on Wii Flow and give it a moment to load. Once Wii Flow loads you will be welcomed to an interface that manages all of your games for you. It’s already set up and ready to go. Browse through the console selections and choose one with the Wii remote. Then browse its games selection and choose the game you want to play with the remote. It’s that easy! You can view pictures of Wii Flow in action on all Modded Wii Console and Wii HDD product pages.

Load Times

Load times are pretty good across the board for our modded Wii’s. Wii Flow takes 45 to 60 seconds to load. Once in Wii Flow. The older vintage console games like NES, SNES, Sega, Game Boy, etc all load very fast. As you move up to more 3D type games on PlayStation, Sega CD, 32X, and N64 there is a small load time generally less than 15 seconds or so. Wii Load times are pretty much exactly the same as they are normally as the console processes the data off of the Wii HDD at about the same rate as an optical disc. Lastly, GameCube games take the longest to load outside of the initial load of Wii Flow itself. You can expect GameCube titles to load in 30 to 60 seconds. There is a splash screen with loading bar for the GC games so you know the progress.

Saving Your Games

Game Saves are made simple and easy for you. Wii and GameCube games save just like they always have by either reaching an auto save point or by going into the game options and saving manually. Most, but not all, of the older vintage consoles game saves function the same way they always have. One notable exception is Original Nintendo NES. To save NES games you need to use save states. Save states are incredibly versatile as in you can save anywhere at anytime and load a save almost instantly. You can use save states across your entire collection of games not just NES. To use save states press the Home button on your Wii remote and select “save state” from the menu that pops up. You will get a “successful save” confirmation then hit close or exit and you are good to go. To load your save simply press the Home button and then select which save state you want to play. The saves are ordered by date and time with an image of your game state so your correct save is easy to find plus you will only see the save options for the game that you are playing at that moment.

Other Things To Know

When hooking your console up to your TV if you have the option to use the HDMI converter plus cable you should do that. The HDMI converter upscales Gamecube and Wii games to either 720 or 1080p depending on the game. The resulting picture is a noticeable improvement over over the standard 480p.

If you ever need to sync your Wii remote again you may do so by holding down the red button under the battery cover while holding down the red button to the left of the SD card slot at the same time for about 5 to 10 seconds and release. Give the remote a moment to connect.

Also remember to plug your Wii Hard Drive into the bottom USB port on your Modded Wii Console.

Older Sega Games And The A/V Cable

On some older TV’s Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, and Sega Game Gear games will display either a blank, blue, or black screen. This is particularly common on televisions that have both A/V inputs and HDMI inputs while using the A/V cable to attach the Wii to the T.V. The issue lies with the TV screen resolution not being able to display the Sega games at the resolution the games display at. The fix is to try different screen resolution settings on your TV or to just use the HDMI cable.
